Privacy Policy

What we collect, and what we do with it.

Last updated April 22, 2026.

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Fairgold collects when you visit our website, create an account, or place an order, how we use that information, who we share it with, and the choices you have about it. By using the site, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information we collect

We collect information you give us directly, information we collect automatically when you use the site, and information from service providers who help us run our business.

  • From you: your name, email address, phone number, password (stored only in hashed form), shipping and billing addresses, ring size preference if you save one, wishlist items, and any marketing preferences you select.
  • Order information: the items you purchase, order history, and snapshots of the shipping and billing addresses you use at checkout.
  • Payment information: card details are collected and processed by Stripe, our payment processor. We do not see or store your full card number, expiration date, or security code. We receive and store a limited record from Stripe so we can reconcile and refund the payment if needed.
  • Automatically: your IP address, browser type and user agent, device information, pages viewed, and timestamps. This is used for security, fraud prevention, and to keep the site working.
  • Cookies: we use cookies that are strictly necessary to keep you signed in, remember your cart, and keep the site secure. Stripe may set its own cookies as part of processing your payment.

2. How we use it

We use the information we collect to operate the business and provide the service you asked for. That includes:

  • Processing your orders, arranging manufacture where applicable, and shipping.
  • Creating and maintaining your account and letting you view order history.
  • Communicating with you about orders, shipping, and customer service issues.
  • Sending marketing emails, but only if you opted in — you can unsubscribe at any time.
  • Detecting, preventing, and investigating fraud and abuse.
  • Complying with tax, accounting, and other legal obligations.
  • Improving the site and understanding how people use it.

3. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the partners we need to run the business, and only to the extent they need it.

  • Payment processing: Stripe.
  • Fulfillment partners: Stuller and other manufacturing or casting partners who produce or ship the pieces you order.
  • Shipping carriers: the carriers that deliver your order.
  • Infrastructure providers: the hosting, email, and analytics vendors that keep the site running.
  • Legal: law enforcement, regulators, or other parties when required by law, subpoena, or court order, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.
  • Business transfers: if Fairgold is acquired, merged, or sells assets, customer information may be part of the transferred assets under the same terms that applied when you provided it.

4. How long we keep it

We keep account and order information for as long as you have an account, and afterward for the period required to meet tax, accounting, warranty, dispute-resolution, and other legal obligations. Server logs and security records are kept for a shorter period consistent with their purpose.

5. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect your information, including password hashing, encrypted transport, and restricted access to production systems. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Your choices and rights

You can update your account details, saved addresses, and marketing preferences at any time from your account page. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails by clicking the link at the bottom of any marketing email.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to port it to another service, and to object to certain uses of it. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. You may still submit a request to exercise any of your other rights by emailing hello@fairgoldjewelry.com. We will not discriminate against you for doing so.
