Returns Policy

All sales are final.

Fairgold does not accept returns or exchanges for change of mind, sizing errors, or preference. This is a deliberate choice. In traditional retail, a small fraction of customers account for the vast majority of returns, and the cost is spread across everyone else in the form of higher prices. We keep our margins low by not building a return cushion into every order. Please double-check your selection before ordering.

1. Before you order

Please verify the following on each listing before completing your purchase. Once the order is placed, these cannot be changed.

  • Your ring size, if applicable — refer to our ring sizing guide.
  • Width, length, chain type, or other variant details shown on the listing.
  • The metal type and karat.
  • The expected ship date shown on the listing, particularly for made-to-order pieces.
  • The shipping address you enter at checkout.

2. What is not returnable

  • Any piece that is the correct item, at the correct specification, delivered in acceptable condition.
  • Pieces returned because the wrong size was ordered.
  • Made-to-order or custom pieces, which are produced specifically for you.
  • Pieces that have been worn, altered, resized, or damaged after delivery.

3. Damaged, defective, or incorrect items

If your piece arrives damaged, has a manufacturing defect, or is not the item you ordered, we will make it right. Contact us within seven days of delivery with your order number and clear photographs of the issue, and, where relevant, of the packaging as received.

For a qualifying issue we will, at our discretion, repair the piece, replace it with an equivalent, or refund the amount you paid. Where we ask you to return the piece, we will provide a prepaid, insured return label. Please do not send anything back without prior authorization — items returned without authorization may be refused.

Normal variation in finish, subtle differences between a piece and the product photograph, and ordinary manufacturing tolerances in weight and dimensions do not qualify as defects.

4. Lost or damaged in transit

Every order is shipped fully insured. If tracking shows your package has been lost, significantly delayed, or damaged in transit before delivery, contact us and we will open an investigation with the carrier. Please contact us within seven days of the expected delivery date.

5. Order cancellations

If you need to cancel an order, contact us as soon as possible. We may be able to cancel if the piece has not yet entered production or shipped. Once a made-to-order piece enters production or any order ships, it can no longer be cancelled.

6. Statutory rights

This policy does not limit any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection laws that cannot be waived by agreement.
